we are applying direction of content on <p> & markdownify always
generates a <p> so we have something like <p
class="ltr"><p>...</p></p> but paragraph can't be inside another
paragraph & browsers sees something like <p
class="rtl"></p><p>...</p></p> so applied direction will be ignored

1198670383 Added Foreman gem. Run Diaspora using foreman start (will start everything except mySQL. Passing in a -p flag will let you specifiy the port. b60101b9ad Use explicit parameters instead of request format to determine whether we render a remote or non-remote form in aspects#new. 
Facebox needs to get back a text/html response. We were using text/javascript to indicate that we wanted a remote form and text/html to indicate we wanted a non-remote form. The trouble is, if we request with text/javascript then that is the format we get back. It doesn't really make sense to use formats that way anyway, so I changed it to an explicit parameter. This had the nice side effect of simplifying our new-aspect views.

db6acebb6c Need to define mailer_name in the mailer wrapper class, or devise can't find the email templates. 
Also, for some reason, had to move the include of NotifierHelper to the view itself. That requires more investigation.

9cd08bac67 Extended sub-uri support. 
Adds new routing in routes.rb based on pod_uri. Assets are handled by a symlink
in public when using sub-uri. Various clean-up, removing thin and socket port
settings from server.sh (these are now taken from pod_uri and socket_port).

Basic functionality when setting a sub_uri like http://example.org/diaspora
now seems OK. Closes .http://joindiaspora.com/issues/737, and partially
http://joindiaspora.com/issues/391. Ports are yet to be defined and handled
in this context.

eacee54846 Replace APP_CONFIG[:terse_pod_url] with uri object. 
Adds a new APP_CONFIG[:pod_uri] item, an uri object parsed from
pod_url. Replace all occurrences of APP_CONFIG[:terse_pod_url] with
APP_CONFIG[:pod_uri].host. Closes http://bugs.joindiaspora.com/issues/684,
using the well-defined semantics of the uri object.

The pod_url is normalized using module URI's functions, always with a
trailing /.

The diaspora-handle will always reflect the pod_url with this patch
i. e., a pod_url like www.dpod.se will give the handle xx@www.dpod.se;
previous code stripped the www. prefix. If this is a problem, it
should be addressed by another setting, since one cannot presume that
www.domain.tld resolves to the same address as domain.tld.

279b08ae4a Added inflection of nouns by the grammatical gender for some languages. 
- New module I18n::Backend::Genderize keeps configuration and adds :gender option to translate().
- Module methods in Genderize allow fast checking if language needs gender and guessing gender.
- jQuery in views/users/edit.html.haml shows and hides grammatical gender select list when needed.
- Span and select list in views/users/edit.html.haml allows to choose grammatical gender.
- Key :grammatical_gender in User model keeps grammatical gender information.
- Added some methods to language_helper.rb.
- UsersController is aware of grammatical gender and is able to guess it when "getting started".

ecd1d2ecd6 Bug #624 Can't unset birthday 
This change allows users to "unset" their birthday.

Previously the logic checked to see if all values for birthday were
present (year, month, day). If all values were present the update
would proceed.

Now, there is another condition. If all values are empty, then
also proceed with the update. Thus, allowing a user to "unset" their
birthday.

Now you can drag requests from that page, but not existing contacts. d&d interface for moving contacts between aspects needs some thought.
